So here's the deal, folks. I don't really know about blogging. I have this vague idea that it's intended for people on the internet to be self-righteous and say things about what they think for others to read. I got annoyed at the whole concept and then stopped to think. That's what a lot of really great writers did. That's what stand-up comics do. I laugh at my own jokes and I imagine that I am a decent writer (I'm just begging for Grammar Nazis to swoop down and rip my feeble little blog to pieces). So I should blog. In my small little world, I imagine myself to be the love-child of the minds of David Sedaris and maybe the chick who writes Hyperbole and a Half paired with a romantic soul that would rival Young Werther's (I have a proclivity to fall madly in like with nutters, jerks and otherwise unsavory fellows). Anyway, apart from the immense self-deprecation and rambling, this blog will be primarily about music, religious belief and other abstract concepts, all things I enjoy, which I believe others might enjoy too. When I say music, I mean MUSIC. Not this Ke$ha or Lady Gaga nonsense. Call me pretentious, call me an elitist. All I know is that we won't be studying "Bad Romance" in 300 years.
Anyway, "Music History of the 19th and 20th Centuries" calls me away to be her bitch for the rest of the night. Viva la Schoenberg!
Goodnight non-existent readers!
